On June 27, 2019, Beit Atfal Asomoud held a graduation ceremony for VT students from the Nahr al-Bared and Beddawi camps for the academic year 2018-2019, attended by Mr. Osama Baraka, Director of UNRWA Services in the North. The Palestinian People's Committee, the Palestinian factions, associations and institutions, parents, friends and students. The number of graduates this year was 163 students in 12 different courses at the Nahr el-Bared and Beddawi centers, with the generous funding of the Norwegian Embassy in Lebanon, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the German Association Fluchtlingskinder Im Libanon. The courses are: Graphic and engineering design, professional video editing, computer maintenance, mobile maintenance, installation and maintenance of solar water heating devices, home filters and refineries, plumbing and sanitary works, and aluminum works. the courses included educational and recreational activities, life skills, community service, sports activities, field visits and trips as well as health and social awareness sessions ... At the beginning of the ceremony, the visitors came to see the exhibition of engineering drawings produced by the students of the course of drawing and engineering design, as well as the presentation of short films produced by the professional video editing students. Then everyone entered the celebration hall which started with Palestinian and Lebanese anthems ... In her speech, Sali Sharaf welcomed the audience and thanked the trainers and Beit Atfal Assomoud and financiers on this opportunity, which provided students with hope under the circumstances and challenges facing the Palestinian student, and praised the importance of professional courses and the attention and interest of everyone in quality and family atmosphere and exchange of information... Then show a short film about Nahr El Bared Center services. Followed by a speech by the Director of Biet Atfal Assomoud in the North Lebanon, Mr. Abdullah Barakeh, who in turn talked about the seriousness of the stage with regard to the Palestinian issue, and that the deal of the century will not see the light like other conspiracies. The Palestinian consensus on the rejection of the deal and that the rights are not given but taken away. He stressed that Beit Atfal Asomoud is incited to spread the national culture and to uphold the constants until justice and return. He also thanked the financiers and welcomed the guests. He highlighted the effort of dedicated trainers and urged everyone to work hard for educated, educated youth and a community free of social and health diseases. At the end of the ceremony, official certificates and individual kits were delivered to all students, taking photographs and eating sweets.
Beit Atfal Assomoud - Nahr El Bared Center has concluded the summer activities of "Watani al-Ghali" with the participation of 400 children, which lasted 3 weeks (17 June to 6 July 2019). The activity was divided into 3 stages by age group: the first stage (6-8 years), the second stage (9-11 years), the third stage (12-18 years). It has many national, social and recreational activities, festival and trips.
On the occasion of World Refugee Day, , Beit Atfal Assomoud has organized open day For three days (June 18, 25, and July 3, 2019) through a puppet theater, national competitions, games and various cultural activities aimed at introducing children to their right to live in a secure homeland, the return is inevitable, and the Palestinian people will not remain a refugee for life. 280 children participated in the activities.
