Programs Weekly Activities:
- MHPSS: As part of the MHPSS project, On Monday, 13 August 2018, Beit Atfal Assomoud - Nahr El Bared Center held the second session of the Parents Deal for 18 mothers, which included the most important strengths of the mothers that help them deal with challenges.
- FGC:On Saturday, August 11, 2018, Beit Atfal Assomoud - Nahr El Bared Center organized a lecture entitled "Causes of delayed language in children" by a speech therapist "Salome Nahoum" for about 10 mothers.
- Family Happiness: On Saturday 11 August 2018, Nahr El Bared Center – Family Happiness project implemented two workshops (54 women) on Electronic Games and its risks on children’s and teenagers’ life (Mariam and blue whale apps…).
Other activities not within the programs:
In the 42nd anniversary of the establishment of Beit Atfal Assomoud Institution, and to confirm on brothers relationship and love between Lebanese and Palestinian people under the auspices of Bibnin Municipality and with the support of Norwegian Embassy, Nahr El Bared and Baddawi Center have launched on Friday 3 August 2018 the 6th football tournament of Lebanese and Palestinian brother relationship – for men, with included 40 Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian sport teems from Al Baddawi Camp and it surrounding (Wadi Al Nahle – Al Mankoubin – Al Kobbah) and from Nahr El Bared camp and it surrounding from Akkar Municipalities and villages. Football matches are setting up in Al Baddawi, Nahr El Bared and the Municipalities of Bibnin and Borkayel Playgrounds.
To revive the memory of Tal al Zaatar Massacre and the establishment of Beit Atfal Assomoud, Nahr el Bared center implemented a set of activities between 12 and15 August 2018 as:
1- Hanging up a banner in the main entrance of the camp hasing a greeting for the martyrs and the witnesses on the massacre
2- Organizing a cultural activity for children in Mazin and Jamal Afif's garden including a definition of the institution and its services, the date of its establishment as an impact of Tal al Zaatar massacre, and drawing as a group working for children in the occasion.
3- Meeting with the prisoners' wives and mothers, and talking about Tal al Zaatar massacre and the establishment of the institution. Then showing a video inspired by the occasion.
On Friday and Saturday, 17 and 18 August 2018, Beit Atfal Assomoud - Nahr El Bared Center distributed 450 food packages to Palestinian families displaced from Syria with the generous support of FARMAMUNDI. Families expressed their pleasure in distributing packages before Eid al-Adha. It relieves them of even a small part of their expenses with the high cost of living and difficult economic conditions.
