Forty years have passed and the scenes of pain are still alive in the Palestinian conscience. In those three days of September 1982, images of the slaughter and rape of the honorable people in Sabra and Shatila come back to memory. Survivors remain to tell stories about Sabra and Shatila, which claimed the lives of more than three thousand martyrs, most of whom were Palestinians who were subjected to torture. Ongoing for 72 hours.

On Friday, corresponding to 9/16/2022, the Ghobeiri municipality, in cooperation with the Committee Not to Forget Sabra and Shatila and the Beit Atfal Al-Samoud Foundation, revived the activities of the fortieth anniversary of the Sabra and Shatila massacre with a speech festival in the Resala hall with the participation of the Ambassador of the State of Palestine and a number of Italian, European and American delegations and in the presence of the Director-General Beit Atfal Al-Samoud Foundation, Brother Kassem Aina, Palestinian and Lebanese activities, Lebanese parties, Palestinian factions and a crowd of workers, mothers and children in the institution.

The Palestinian National Scout Festival opened with the Lebanese and Palestinian anthems, after which the speech of the Ambassador of the State of Palestine, the word of resistance, the speech of the mayor of Ghobeiry, the speech of a committee so as not to forget Sabra and Shatila, the speech of the people of the massacre. participants.
