Beit Atfal Assumoud (BAS) Monthly Activities
During November 2025, Beit Atfal Assumoud (BAS) has organized the following activities:

1. Solar Energy Course Graduation – Beddawi Center

Endurance Children’s House Foundation / Beit Atfal Assumoud successfully concluded the six-month Solar Energy Course at the Beddawi Center, supported by the German Association for Children’s Relief – Lebanon.

Participants gained hands-on skills in:

  • Electricity fundamentals

  • Solar system installation

  • Entrepreneurship and job-market readiness

The graduation ceremony was attended by:

  • Trainees and their families

  • Community representatives

  • Popular committees from the camp

  • The Vocational Training Coordinator and Center Manager

Graduates were presented with toolkits to support them as they begin their professional journey.



2. Women’s Beauty Course Graduation – Beddawi Center

Resilience Children’s Home Foundation / Beit Atfal Assumoud celebrated the completion of the six-month Women’s Beauty Course, sponsored by RSF.

The training included:

  • Hairdressing

  • Makeup

  • Nail care

  • Life skills and entrepreneurship sessions

The ceremony was held in the presence of:

  • The Vocational Training Coordinator

  • The Beddawi Center Manager

  • Community representatives

  • Popular committees

  • Families of the graduates

Attendees shared the joy and pride of the participants’ achievement.



3. Delegation Visit – Embassies & UNICEF

On November 6, 2025, the Al-Badawi Center welcomed a delegation from the embassies of:

  • Finland

  • Norway

  • Denmark

  • Sweden

as well as representatives from UNICEF, including:

  • Deputy UNICEF Representative in Lebanon

  • Director of the Palestinian Program

  • UNICEF staff members

The visit included:

  • A tour of educational, mental health, and psychosocial support services

  • Insights into child protection programs, the dental clinic, and cultural activities

  • Direct meetings with beneficiaries from the "Makani” Program, who shared their personal experiences and impact stories



4. UNICEF Training – "Playbag for Recovery”

With UNICEF’s support, Beit Atfal Assumoud organized a four-day training program titled "The Playbag for Recovery” for psychosocial support practitioners under the Makani Program.

Training format:

  • 2 online sessions

  • 2 in-person sessions at the Beddawi Center

Training objectives:

  • Strengthen skills in using play as a therapeutic tool

  • Support children’s emotional and psychological recovery

  • Enhance children’s sense of safety, belonging, self-expression, and self-regulation

  • Promote safe, supportive environments during and after crises



5. LEAP – Aspire 2025–2026: Spelling Bee Activity

As part of the LEAP – Aspire 2025–2026 project, and in partnership with UPA, Beit Atfal Assumoud held a "Spelling Bee” educational activity at the Nahr El-Bared Center on November 14, 2025.

Objectives of the activity:

  • Improve English spelling and pronunciation

  • Build students’ confidence speaking in front of an audience

  • Encourage healthy and positive competition

  • Enhance focus and attention in an engaging learning environment

Students from various grade levels participated enthusiastically, creating a fun and motivating atmosphere.



6. Meeting with the Ambassador of Finland

On November 25, the General Manager of Beit Atfal Assumoud Foundation, Mr. Kassem Aina, met with the Ambassador of Finland, Mrs. Annie Meskanen, and a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

  • The refugee situation in Lebanon

  • The foundation’s programs supporting children and their families

  • Ongoing humanitarian and educational initiatives
