Project Title: Sahati Nafsiya - Mental Health Care in the Family Guidance Center (FGC) for psychosocial support in Palestinian refugee camps.

The project is funded by Chiesa Valdese and implemented in partnership between the National Institution of Social Care and Vocational Training (NISCVT) and Un Ponte Per NGO (UPP).

Project General Objective:
To improve the overall well-being and social inclusion of Palestinian communities, including children, adolescents, and families, enhancing their ability to support themselves.

Project-Specific Objectives and Activities
  • Ensure 250 girls, boys, and caregivers receive referrals for psychosocial support and community-based mental health services at the Family Guidance Center (FGC) in Saida, South Lebanon.
  • Provide knowledge and skills to 300 parents for better management of their children's difficulties.
  • Conduct 1000 follow-up sessions for children and adolescents at FGC Saida.
  • Facilitate 12 awareness sessions to enhance self-esteem for 125 youth.
  • Empower 75 parents and caregivers through participation in 12 workshops.
  • Engage 50 children and parents in Psychosocial Support (PSS) activities.
  • Provide training to 15 FGC staff members to improve their skills and performance.
  • Conduct 150 home visits to inform parents about protection services.
  • Reach 100 people through an awareness campaign on World Autism Awareness Day
