What about the displaced Syrians?
Till now and despite their hard circumstances in the camps and the gatherings on all levels, corona virus didn’t reach any of them according to the high commission of the refugee affairs in its declaration yesterday. The only infected Syrian person in Lebanon, who was moved to Beirut Governmental Hospital few days ago, was not living in the displaced Syrian gatherings. The statement of the commission clarified that till now nobody reported about any infected person among the refugees in Lebanon or any other country. The commission will make procedures for protection in coordination with the World Health Organization, UNICEF and ministries of Health and Education. It focuses on the guarantee of reducing the spread of virus, publishing the right information and informing the refugees of the updates and awareness. The commission promised to distribute more materials of hygiene and step up preventive measures to protect the refugees in the random camps and the common collective buildings.
